The government program reimburses $600 for the purchase and installation of a home charger — but the rules changed in 2026 and many sites still show the old ones. Here are the real, current conditions, and how we take care of everything.
Since April 1, 2026, only new, certified, connected smart Level 2 (240 V) chargers on the official eligible-models list qualify for the $600. Installation must be done by an RBQ-licensed electrical contractor. The residential stream ends December 31, 2026. (Conditions re-verified on quebec.ca — programs can change.)
The $600 reimbursement is paid to the vehicle owner, by cheque, in 4–6 weeks — it's not an instant discount. Our job: make your claim effortless and impossible to get wrong. Turnkey package: we supply an eligible charger (two models to choose from), install it under our RBQ licence — the two critical conditions — then, on installation day, we hand you a complete, ready-to-submit kit: a compliant itemized invoice, proof of the eligible model, serial number, RBQ attestation. All you do is submit it online (about 10 minutes) — or we do it with you. If a kit we built is refused for a reason attributable to us, we credit you the $600.
